August is included because in some cooler areas onion weed is active later in the season and the October activities are listed to help with planning and to give us things to look forward to!

The information below contains both manual and herbicide options for combating weeds.

Mornington Peninsula Equine Landcare understands that herbicides can have detrimental effects on the environment and are not recommended for use near waterways, however the methods that we have suggested are intended to minimise their use and provide a practical way of tackling weeds that are either very large or exist in mass quantities.
